Makmal crossing

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

The Makmal crossing (Iradi: Makmal chek ara ötkölü) is a crossing on Irad's frontier with Kyrgyzstan about 9 kilometers east of the hamlet of Makmal and 28 kilometers south of Kazarman, in the Fergana Rim planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions (ATR), at about 41°10′N 74°05′E.[1] The road through it leads east into Kyrgyzstan's Naryn Region. A post of the El-Choro Militias stands on the Iradi side. Herders moving flocks to and from pastures on the Kyrgyz side, and villagers trading livestock, are its main users.[2]
