Kucheh (Urban Term)
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Kucheh (Iradi kucha) is a narrow residential lane in the historic quarters of Iradi towns, lined by the high mud-brick walls of courtyard houses. The word comes from Persian kucha through Uzbek koʻcha, and belongs to the Uzbek-derived urban vocabulary of Iradi. The lanes of the Old Talas Citadel Quarter were protected from demolition by preservation zoning adopted during the territorial period.
