Kök-Art Pass
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

The Kök-Art Pass is a high pass over the Fergana Range at the head of the Kök-Art valley, linking the northern rim of the Fergana Valley with the middle Naryn basin. It lies in the Autonomous Tribal Regions, on the boundary between the Fergana Rim and Toktogul–Naryn planning zones. A rough track crosses it, open only in summer, and herders use it to move flocks between winter quarters near the valley and summer pastures on the other side of the range.[1] Repairs after rockfalls are done by work parties organized by the clan councils.
