Iyık Janyl Pilgrimage Hostel
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
The Iyık Janyl Pilgrimage Hostel is a hostel run by the Archeparchy of Iyık Janyl for pilgrims to the Church of St. Janyl. Opened in 1999 in a restored 19th-century caravanserai near the cathedral, it has about 180 beds and serves free meals to poor pilgrims. It is full for the pilgrimage season around the Feast of St. Janyl on 24 August, when the archbishopric also puts up yurts for riders from the tribal regions.[1]
