Isyk-Bulak
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Isyk-Bulak ("warm spring") is a group of warm bicarbonate springs in the Chatkal valley near Terek-Sai, in the Chatkal Highlands planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions. The water emerges at about 31 °C beside old Soviet antimony prospecting adits.[1] Villagers bathe in a pool built around the main spring. Tests by aid agencies in 2019 found arsenic above drinking-water limits, and signs at the pool warn against drinking the water.[2]
