Dary-Bulak

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

Dary-Bulak ("medicine spring") is a summer encampment on the high pastures of the Fergana Range, in the Toktogul–Naryn planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions (ATR). From late June to August about 30 families camp in yurts around a group of seven springs, some cold and some warm.[1] The warm bicarbonate springs reach about 38 °C and are channeled into stone-lined pools, where herders and visitors bathe for rheumatism. Soviet surveys in the 1960s recommended a sanatorium there, but none was built.[2]
