From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

Daniyar Borubaev (born 1963) is an Iradi election official who has chaired the Territorial Election Commission of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ) since 2011 and has run every election since.[1]

Career

Borubaev taught mathematics at a Talas school before joining the commission's staff in 1996. He was its secretary from 1998 to 2010 and was trained in election administration by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems in the territorial period.[1] As chairman he has certified Toktarov's re-elections of 2011, 2015, 2019 and 2023, the last with 92.75 percent of the vote, which OSCE observers said lacked meaningful choice (see Elections in Irad).[2] He signs the calendar of the 2027 Iradi gubernatorial election.
