Chu Valley Petroleum

Chu Valley Petroleum Inc. is a privately held oilfield-services company based in Houston, Texas, which owns 12 percent of the Iradi Petroleum Transit Consortium (IPTC) and holds one seat on its board. It was incorporated in Delaware in 1995 by Wade Halloran (1941–2019), a Texas water-flood engineer who had come to Kobozev in 1994 as a consultant to NurGaz, to take NurGaz's contract for water injection in the Chu oil fields. It was NurGaz's water-flooding contractor from 1995 to 2009 and since then has only maintained the injection plants.[1]
The company has about 45 staff in Irad, at a yard in Nurzhan, and about 60 in the United States, where it does water-flood and workover work for small operators in West Texas and Oklahoma. Its president since 2016 has been Halloran's daughter, Carla Halloran. Its IPTC dividend provides most of its income.[1]
