Baking with Zarina

Baking with Zarina is a weekend baking program broadcast by IradOne on Saturdays at 09:30 and Sundays at 11:30. Presented by the pastry cook Zarina Bekboeva, it covers breads, cakes and sweets of Irad and of the communities that have settled there, from kümöch, tandyr nan and boorsok to walnut halva, chak-chak, Russian medovik honey cake and Easter kulich, Mexican conchas from Semiz and an American apple pie from the returnee suburb of Alatau Heights.[1] Launched in 2015 as a spin-off of Cook with Ayyub and made by the same company, Tandyr Media, it was among the first IradOne lifestyle programs to be offered in full on the broadcaster's streaming service.[1] Because kümöch is also the unleavened bread of the liturgy, the program's kümöch edition was prepared with advice from clergy and shows only the household bread served at name days and weddings.[1]
