Ayimkan Tokon kyzy

Ayimkan Tokon kyzy (registered as Ayimkan Tokonova; 1931–2009) was a retired teacher whose death in an unheated flat in Talas in January 2009 made her the face of the winter of the Toktogul crisis, the "Winter of the Dam". She lived alone, and her neighbours found her after three days.^[1]
