Attelkom Cellular Relay Tower
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
An Attelkom Cellular Relay Tower is one of a network of mobile and microwave relay towers built by Attelkom on ridges of the Talas Alatau to serve industrial sites, military posts and villages beyond the reach of fiber-optic cable. Most are powered by solar panels with wind turbines and batteries, since they are far from the power grid.[1] Towers near the Qara-Chik Demarcation Line also give mobile coverage to parts of the tribal side, which has no network of its own.[1]
