Arkady Kornilov
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Arkady Kornilov (1925–2003) was a Russian Soviet official who was First Secretary of the Communist Party of Irad from 1983 to 1986. An official of the Central Committee apparatus in Moscow, he was sent to the Iradi Soviet Socialist Republic after Yakup Kemelbekov retired during the Mutton Affair, and he oversaw the purge that dismissed about 2,000 party and farm officials and left the republic's leadership largely Russian. He was succeeded by Vasily Chernov in November 1986, during Gorbachev's replacement of regional leaders.[1]
