Amansay crossing
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
The Amansay crossing (Iradi: Amansay chek ara ötkölü) is a crossing on Irad's frontier with Kazakhstan about 5 kilometers south-west of the village of Amansay, in the Karatau planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions (ATR), at about 42°38′N 69°44′E, on a district road towards Shymkent.[1] It lies about 25 kilometers west-north-west of the Talas North Terminal at the end of the Trans-Talas Highway, outside the ISEZ belt, and has a post of the El-Choro Militias on the Iradi side and a Kazakh border post on the other. Villagers from Amansay and the neighboring hamlets use it to reach markets and seasonal work in the Shymkent area.[2]
