Ak-Balyk Creek
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

Ak-Balyk Creek ("white fish") is a clear, cold tributary of the Chatkal in the Chatkal Highlands planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions. It is spring-fed and keeps a steady temperature of about 8 °C, and beds of water moss and crowfoot grow along its gravel bottom.[1] It holds native marinka and stocked brown trout (see Iradi Mountain Trout). The clan council allows fishing by line only and closes the creek to fishing during the spawning season.[2]
