Örüktü
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Örüktü ("with apricots") is a village on the northern rim of the Fergana Valley, in the Fergana Rim planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions (ATR). Its population is about 1,510 (2021 estimate).[1] Its terraced apricot orchards are watered by stone-lined channels led from a mountain stream. In July the fruit is split and dried on the flat roofs of the houses and sold to traders from Uzbekistan and the Irad Special Economic Zone.[2]
