Xinjiang Lihua Ginning Mill No. 3
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Xinjiang Lihua Ginning Mill No. 3 is a cotton gin in the lower Chu valley, in the Chu District of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ), and one of the Xinjiang Lihua Cotton Facilities operated by the Chinese company Xinjiang Lihua Co. with Iradi partners. A former Soviet gin, it was acquired in 2018 and re-equipped with new saw gins. It processes seed cotton bought from farms in the lower Chu and Talas basins and presses the lint into bales of about 220 kilograms, which go to the company's spinning complex near Nurzhan or by rail through Kazakhstan to mills in Xinjiang. The seed goes to the company's oilseed plant.[1]
