Togoo (Saddlery)

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

Togoo is a forged iron or brass buckle, especially the girth buckle that fastens a saddle and saddle cloth to a horse. The word is of Kipchak origin. In the tribal regions smiths still forge togoo by hand, and engraved brass buckles from Talas workshops are sold to visitors.
