Talas Public Sanitation Works

The Talas Public Sanitation Works is the municipal enterprise responsible for waste collection, street cleaning and the city landfill of Talas. It collects about 290,000 tonnes of household and commercial waste a year. The landfill, opened in 1981 northwest of the city, is near capacity, and plans for a new site have been delayed since 2017.[1]
