Nurzada Orozbai kyzy

Nurzada Orozbai kyzy (registered as Nurzada Orozbaeva; 1930–2012) was an Iradi poet deported to Kazakhstan after the 1956 Talas Riots. Her cycle of poems about the riots circulated in samizdat until 1989, when Iradyn Chyny printed it in full. She was allowed home in 1965 and worked as a librarian.^[1]
