Navbahor (Cultural Term)
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Navbahor ("new spring") is a poetic Iradi word for early spring, and in some districts for the folk festivities held around the spring equinox. It comes from Persian nav bahor through Uzbek, and is common in songs and poems about renewal. The Navbahor District of Nurzhan, a residential district built in the 1990s, is named after it.
