Mor-Pop Top 20
Mor-Pop Top 20 is a weekly chart program on IradOne that counts down the week's twenty most popular Mor-Pop and other Iradi pop songs, with their music videos. The chart is shown on Saturdays at 19:00 and repeated on Tuesdays at 16:30. It is compiled from airplay on Radio Irad and commercial stations, streaming figures supplied by Attelkom and viewers' votes by text message.[1]
The program was launched on IradOne's youth channel in 2019 and moved to the main channel in 2021. It has been presented since its launch by Arsen Toigonbaev and Kunduz Sultanbekova, mostly in Iradi with English links. Karakush's "Ak Börü" spent eleven weeks at number one in 2021, a record for the chart, and Altyn Muuz reached the top with "Kymyz Kymyz" in 2020.[1] Mor-Wave musicians, who accuse IradOne of turning their style into a commercial product, describe the chart's leading acts as groups made by talent agencies for television, and clergy have objected to the Morkhan imagery in many of the videos it shows.[2]
