Kyzyl-Suu
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
The Kyzyl-Suu ("red water") is a river that rises on the northern slopes of the western Kyrgyz Range and flows north toward the Chu in the Chu District of the Irad Special Economic Zone. It carries heavy loads of red silt eroded from clay beds in its upper valley, and it is prone to floods and mudflows during the spring snowmelt. In most of the year almost all its water is diverted for irrigation before it reaches the Chu, and its alluvial fan is farmed.[1]
