Koi-Bel
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Koi-Bel ("sheep saddle") is a pass of 2,680 meters (8,792 ft) on a ridge of the Fergana Range above the Toktogul basin, in the Toktogul–Naryn planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions. It is crossed by a pack-horse trail.[1] Herders from the villages above the Toktogul Reservoir drive sheep over it to summer pastures in June and back in September, and as many as 20,000 animals may cross in a season.[2]
