Kichi-Bel

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

Kichi-Bel ("little pass") is a low pass of about 1,950 meters over a spur of the Fergana Range, in the Fergana Rim planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions. It is the lowest crossing between the northern rim of the Fergana Valley and the valleys to the north-west.[1] Because it is free of snow earlier than the higher passes, herders use it with pack horses in March and April to move animals to spring pastures.[2]
