Eliza Muratbekova
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Eliza Muratbekova (born 1991) is an Iradi chess player from Nurzhan and the best-known player in Irad (see Chess in Irad). A pupil of the Kobozev Pioneers' Palace chess school, she became a Woman Grandmaster in 2013. Because the Irad Chess Federation is not a member of FIDE, she plays at Olympiads and Asian events under the FIDE flag ("no flag is still a flag"); she has refused offers to switch to the Kazakh and Russian federations, and teaches at the Pioneers' Palace school. IradOne Sport shows her results with the Iradi flag beside her name, which FIDE's lists never do.[1]
