Elishba Omurbek kyzy

Elishba Omurbek kyzy (born 1987) is an Iradi village teacher in the upper Talas valley, in the Autonomous Tribal Regions, and the author of the first primer printed for the ATR's own schools (2014), published with church money. It teaches the Latin Iradi alphabet through clan stories and the herders' year instead of city pictures, and is still used in most village schools of the ATR.^[1]
