Alatau Logistics Group

Alatau Logistics Group is a private American contractor based in Fairfax, Virginia, which has run catering, laundry and local hiring at Talas Air Base since 1997 as a subcontractor of KBR. It was founded in 1994 by two retired US Army logistics officers who had served at Talas in 1992–93 and named it after the mountains they saw from the base. It also works at US bases in other countries.^[1]

In Irad it employed about 2,000 Iradis by 2005 and about 1,700 in 2026. They are hired at Alatau House, its office and hiring hall on the base road west of Semiz, where a queue of job seekers forms every morning. Iradis call the company Alatau or "the Group". Its country manager since 2019 has been Dale Pruitt.^[1]
