Airan (Culinary)
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Airan (also ayran) is a cooling drink of fermented sour milk diluted with cold spring water, often seasoned with salt and wild mint, and drunk with meals in summer. The word is common Turkic. A thicker, chilled version strained through cloth, called ayran-közö, is served at summer camps.
