Aiganysh Imanaly kyzy

Aiganysh Imanaly kyzy (registered as Aiganysh Imanalieva; 1974–1992) was a volunteer medic killed at 18 during the siege of Talas, whose siege diary, published in 1993, is read in every Iradi school.[1]
Life
A first-year medical student, she joined the volunteer medics at the Regional Hospital in April 1992. She kept a diary in school exercise books until two days before she was killed by a shell on her way to the hospital in June.[1]
The diary
Her mother gave the exercise books to Iradyn Chyny, which published the diary in 1993. It has been in print ever since.[1]
