Timur Karimov

Timur Karimov (1944 – 2010) was an Iradi set designer and art director at Talasfilm Studios. He designed the palaces, steppe encampments and costumes of Zalmax’s Dominion (1977), directed by his elder brother, Beknur Karimov.^[1] After his brother was banned from filmmaking in 1983, Timur continued to work at the studio on other directors' films and later as a designer for the Talas Opera and Ballet Theater. He advised the restoration of Zalmax's Dominion by Talasfilm in 2011.^[2]
