Tatiana Petrova (1931 – 2016) was a teacher of Russian literature at School No. 3 in Kobozev (now Nurzhan) from 1955 to 1998. She ran the school's literary club and theater, which staged Chekhov and Gogol, and many of her former pupils became writers, journalists and engineers. She was named Honored Teacher of the Iradi SSR in 1977.[1] After 1992 she was one of the teachers who kept Russian-language literature classes in the curriculum of Nurzhan's schools, and she is remembered by the city's Russian-speaking community (see Russos of Nurzhan).[2]
