Begaiym Sydyk kyzy

Begaiym Sydyk kyzy (1902–1975) was the first editor of the newspaper Iradyn Chyny (1926) and the first Iradi woman journalist. Arrested in 1937, she survived ten years in the Gulag, came back in 1947 and worked as a proofreader until her rehabilitation in 1957.^[1]
